When Kim Simmonds formed Savoy Brown in London in 1966, the group specialized
in smoldering, juke-joint blues. Later, Savoy Brown filtered it's blues with
rock influences, and gained new converts, particularly in America. When
Simmonds migrated to America from Britain in 1979, he took the band in many
directions, casting his net to incorporate hard rock, acoustics blues, and
blues-rock-boogie. "The Blues Keep Me Holding On" reunites Kim with his old mate, drummer
Roger Earl.
