“America gave music to the world,” said Earl. “I’ve lived here since 1973 but have been coming here since 1968 and I consider myself an American. … Jazz, blues, rock ‘n’ roll, gospel all transcend the language barrier. France, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Japan, China, Russia, they all listen to and are influenced by American music. Even today’s contemporary American music influences everybody. You have Jewish, Arab and Chinese rappers. It all comes down to American music and the influence it has on the world of music. That’s the reason I moved here. We have a degree of success here because, as far as I’m concerned, this is where music came from and I’m one of those fortunate people that get to be a part of it.” – Roger Earl
